People Coordinator – Birmingham – Reputable Charity – Training & Progression – Flexible Working Hours – Competitive Pay Rate – Temporary to Permanent Vacancy

The Organisation:
A responsible and progressive charity, aiming to provide social justice and support to vulnerable groups of people across the UK; victims of domestic violence, ex-offenders, young people, people with mental health difficulties and those struggling with substance misuse. They are a well-established organisation with a positive market reputation and over 20 years of experience in supported living.
This company are currently operating supported housing services for rehabilitating ex-offenders that have left a prison setting. The service ensures the instilling of independent living skills, positive wellbeing and personal development within ex-offenders, working towards their bettering of life and prevention of repeat offending.
The Opportunities:
People Coordinators are employed on a full-time basis, shift patterns – 9am till 5pm - Monday to Friday (35 hours per week paid)
Competitive pay rates; £17.21 (Umbrella).  
Contract length will be 12 weeks before a transition to a permanent contract within our client’s company.
Hybrid working - 2 days office & 3 from homeThe Responsibilities:
People Operations
Support the processing of monthly amendments to employees records, including new starters, leavers, and amendments, ensuring processing is completed in line with relevant payroll deadlines, including acting as the main point of contact for all amendments and implementing and/or contributing to changes and improvements to processes as necessary.
Providing full administrative support across the whole employee lifecycle, including, Talent and Resourcing, On-boarding, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, EDI and Leavers.  
Monitor and coordinate responses for People Team inboxes, ensuring incoming queries are dealt with in a timely manner, storing information and data appropriately as required.
Produce and issue employment and people related documentation and correspondence.
Accurately input and update data on the HR database, e.g., Absences, Starter and Leaver Information
Prepare data to produce specific management information and reports as requested by People Operations Team Leader, other People and OD team colleagues and managers.
Respond to enquires via phone and email from employees and managers on day-to-day operational People Management issues, escalating queries to the People Operations Team Leader and appropriate People and Culture team colleagues, as required.
Assist with general administrative support across the People & Culture Team and with co-ordination of team activities as needed.
Complete DBS refresher checks through our outsourced provider for employees and volunteers where appropriate and as directed by the People Operations Team Leader.
Deal with invoices in line with the relevant procedures
Maintain the confidentiality of information, both written and verbal, and maintain security of confidential employee records.
Attend as note-taker in ER cases including grievance, sickness, disciplinary or other HR hearings held as requested.
Recruitment and On-boarding
Support with posting adverts for vacancies in relevant locations and monitor applications.
Speak to active and prospective candidates, ensuring queries are responded to professionally and in a timely fashion.
Schedule and send invitations to interview under the direction of Talent & Resourcing Advisors, in liaison with candidates.  
Support with coordination of all new employee pre-starter checks and data requirements, ensuring all checks and information are complete and satisfactory (including DBS and referencing), escalating any queries as appropriate.
Prepare and issue offers, contracts, agreements and other people related documentation, under the direction of the Team Leader/other People & OD colleagues.
Enter and monitor information on the HR information systems.
Learning and Development
Support the administration of our ‘Welcome to Nacro’ induction programme.
Accurate and timely processing of booking requests and amendments, including, monitoring and recording attendance at training sessions, issuing joining instructions, where required and working with management teams to arrange venue bookings and facilities.
System administration and accurate record keeping within our learning System; NacroLearn.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Experience of dealing efficiently with a range of enquires from a busy inbox.
Experience of preparing accurate data for payroll and for the production of specific management information/reports, using HR systems and databases (or similar)
Evidence of IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
Effective organisational and planning skills, with the ability to re-prioritise as needed.
Commitment to providing good customer service, adapting communication style as appropriate to differing situations.
