Quantity Surveyor/Cost Consultant – Hotel and Leisure Sector

Location: Birmingham

Overview:

Looking for a graduate construction Cost Consultant to join our team and work on a variety of Hotel / Leisure refurbishment projects across the country. We are seeking an individual with around 2 years of post-graduate experience in providing Quantity Surveying services, preferably with exposure to commercial projects in the hotel sector.

Responsibilities:

- Provide Quantity Surveying services for Hotel / Leisure refurbishment projects.

- Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and other members of the project team.

- Negotiate costs with contractors and suppliers.

- Work both independently and as part of a larger team to ensure project success.

- Utilize analytical skills to accurately assess project costs and budgets.

- Proficiently use Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or related field, preferably RICS accredited.

- Membership of or working towards professional accreditation with RICS, APM, or CIOB.

- Around 2 years of post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse, compare, and summarize data accurately.

- Confident and articulate communicator capable of liaising with clients and supporting team members.

- Basic understanding of measurement and contracts.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

- Driving licence
