Career Teachers have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate SEND Teacher starting as soon as possible.

You will be working within the SEND Department of a mainstream secondary School based in South Birmingham. Our school are seeking a full time QTS/ QTLS qualified SEND Teacher who is highly motivated, compassionate, and dedicated to supporting children and young people who have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive School and to contribute to a faculty that seeks to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all its learners. You will be responsible for delivering intervention and support to pupils with SEND in the schools resource base, catering to the learning needs of their students. To be successful for this role, you must:

Must hold qualified teacher status (QTS / QTLS)
Have experience of teaching secondary school pupils aged 11 to 16
Experience and understanding of working with student with SEND
Eligibility to work within the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
Have up-to-date safeguarding training dated within the last 12 months; Career Teachers offer a FREE online Safeguarding training course
Able to provide a minimum of 2 x references to cover the last 2 years.
A positive mindset with a passion for teaching and learning
Able to establish constructive and positive relationships with your pupils.
Demonstrate strong classroom management.
Committed to raising attainment.
Committed to promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people.
