At Barnett Waddingham, we are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a growing team, within our Pension Administration business area. This role will primarily focus on project management of the Pensions Dashboard development and readiness project for Pension Administration, and programme management of the client dashboard onboarding projects.

The successful Senior Project Manager will be recognised as an expert in handling large scale and complex projects and knowledgeable in project management skills and tools. They will have good knowledge and experience in the Pensions industry and ideally come from a Financial Services or Regulatory Change background. 

This role will be hybrid working and can be based in one of our Amersham, Birmingham, Bristol, Cheltenham, Glasgow, Guildford, Leeds and Liverpool offices.

Responsibilities

Formalising project objectives with stakeholders; documenting using project briefs and requirement specifications and ensuring that objectives are met within the agreed timescales.
Formalising success criteria, scope, approach to delivery, estimating resources and timescales, establishing roles and responsibilities and the governance structure of the project through collaboration with project stakeholders.
Collaborating with the Client/ Associate/Principal/Partner regarding project related communications. 
Compiling cost benefit, quality and risk analysis documentation, and contributing to the decision making process for project approval. 
Managing the project deliverables to ensure quality standards are met.
Creating and owning a communication plan to keep all stakeholders up to date with progress and continually managing expectations. 
Producing project and status update reports.
Working collaboratively with project stakeholders.
Organising and leading project meetings. 
Working with stakeholders to schedule developments and roll out training / process changes.  
Responsible for ensuring training is delivered at an appropriate level in line with project deliverables.
Supporting, implementing and maintaining Information Security procedures and activities in accordance with Barnett Waddingham’s Information Security Policy, and other Barnett Waddingham accreditations or awards.
Delegating where appropriate, while retaining accountability.
Act as a mentor providing constructive feedback for others in order to improve their understanding and knowledge, and supporting the development of individuals using coaching and training.
Undertaking PDRs for the team.

Experience/Qualifications

A relevant degree or Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 or PRINCE2 Agile are preferred), together with appropriate experience for the role.
Experience in the Pensions industry and ideally knowledge of Pensions Dashboard regulations and requirements.
Business Analysis foundation and/or Change Management qualifications (desirable, not essential). 
A strong understanding of Microsoft Office programmes, in particular Project Excel, Word and Outlook. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including technical writing and presentation skills.
Proven organisational skills with the ability to proactively prioritise, manage multiple tasks and maintain effectiveness within a rapidly changing environment 
Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to deliver quality solutions.
