We are looking for a Payroll Assistant (Part time) to join our head office team for a UK wide company with 2500 employees based in Edgbaston, Birmingham: 

Contracted to 22.5 hours per week
Part time role
Monday – Tuesday 09:00 – 17:00, Wednesday 09:00 – 15:30
Opportunity for Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office
No bank holiday working required
33 days holiday (including bank holidays) plus your birthday day off

As a Payroll Assistant, you will be joining a fantastic team of 3  where you will support be all payroll  administration activities to complete both month end & year end payroll activities whilst maintaining compliance with internal and statutory requirements.

For our Payroll Assistant , this is an exciting role where you will join an experienced team , get involved with company-wide projects and using our in-house system to set up and manage new employee details. Our payroll team are working in a fast-paced environment where you will need to have great attention to detail to maintain accuracy in your work.

As a Payroll Assistant you will support our colleagues with payroll queries mainly over the phone call or emails , these calls could be about any part of the payroll process, so you will need to be a personable communicator with great problem-solving skills.

Payroll Assistant – Experience & Attributes:

Experience of working with large payrolls
Good knowledge of legislation and statutory regulations
Great communications skills and a solution-oriented mindset
A flexible approach and an ability to work under pressure
Experience using ResourceLink (Zellis) is highly advantageous
