To paint components to all customer verified specifications.
 
Objectives:

To perform paint spraying activities to the specified customer quality standard for outgoing internally produced products.
To support the technical manager on all requested activities based on business needs required within the paint facility IE: Jigging, loading, prepping, cleaning, paint spraying, masking, paint mixing, polishing, general plant cleaning and upkeeping activities of the full facility etc.… 
Duties to be performed:

To perform paint spraying activities in line with the IATF 16949 quality standards.
To ensure that all parts are prepared, jigged and thoroughly cleaned prior to painting.
To mix and filter all paint materials to the paint suppliers specified TDS.
To document and verify all mixed paint materials are to the specified TDS IE: Part number, batch number, mix ratio, viscosity, temperature, filtration, PH value etc.
To have the ability of applying primers, basecoats, mono-coats and clearcoat to achieve the correct adhesion, colour, wave scan, Matt & Gloss levels and recommended DFT.
All paint stocks are well organized via the FIFO system to avoid any obsolete materials and colour mis matches.
To be able to strip, clean and maintain all paint application equipment.
Have knowledge of plant operational procedures including oven tracing for full curing.
To maintain high levels of 5s housekeeping practices at all times throughout the paint facility.
To always adhere to STC H&S policies to protect yourself and all other employees.
To cover for other Sanko associates as and when required.
To always be pro-active to support your fellow team members.
To show good initiative for continuous improvements and driving down costs within the technical department.
To assist the technical department in all required activities, request by the Technical Manager to support business needs. 
Qualifications/Experience:

To be able to perform this position effectively you must have at least 5 years’ experience, preferably within the paint manufacturing industry.
Must have basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Willingness to undergo relevant training as and when required to further your skill base.
