Working as a Supply Teacher for Flourish Education allows you to work where and when you want - giving you a great work-life balance! What's more, day to day supply teaching requires no planning or meetings, which takes away all additional pressures of teaching and allows you to do what you love - TEACH!

For a day-to-day supply teacher role, you will not be expected to plan lessons or attend staff meetings however you will be expected to:

Deliver lessons and work set out by the regular English Teacher
Create an engaging and motivating learning environment
To manage classroom behaviour in line with the school behaviour policy
Support and monitor student’s progression in lessons
When required, mark students’ work in line with the school’s marking policy at the end of every day.
To apply for this English Teacher role, you will need:

QTS - Qualified Teacher status in English (ECT’s, formerly known as NQT’s, are encouraged to apply)
Experience teaching in a UK Secondary School as an English Teacher
Excellent subject knowledge of English in Key Stages 3 (KS3) and 4 (KS4) is essential
Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
A strong school reference from your recent employer
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

To be paid between £130 and £220 per day, depending on experience. This equates to between £25,350 and £42,900 per annum based on working 5 days a week for the full school year.
