Transport Planner
Location: Coventry
Salary: £12.98 p/h
Hours: Monday-Friday, (Apply online only). Work From Home on Friday
Employment Type: On going work
Igloo is currently recruiting for a transport planner for our client based in Coventry. Our Client is a well-established UK-wide vehicle logistics and fleet management company.
The Role:
* Schedule and book daily transport
* Buy the cheapest price transport from subcontract hauliers
* Request the correct equipment according to customers demands (size of vehicle, special modifications)
* Monitor subcontractors’ performances
* Plan accordingly with driver rules and regulations
* Maintain Excellent internal and external relations
* Make sure all data entry is 100% accurate and compliant
What kind of person we are looking for?
* Experience within a similar role
* Have knowledge of the transport industry
* Confident using a computer, as a lot of work will be computer based
* Confident in speaking to all levels of management both internally and externally
