Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

BIM Engineer - £29/hr (Inside IR35) - Coventry - 12 Month contract (potential to renew)

Position Description:
Layout Integration BIM Engineer

Role:
Working from a central function and supporting project teams on complex multi-disciplinary industrial installation projects.
- Support the wider team utilising BIM to remove error conditions prior to construction/manufacture.
- Work with inputs from multiple sources including internal and externally authored data.
- Create 4D BIM for assigned projects.
- Lead BIM clash detection workstream on assigned projects.
- Lead BIM review sessions for clash and timing workstreams.
- Work with stakeholders to close out actions.
- Work closely with process, facilities, and construction teams to ensure BIM is effectively developed to facilitate 4D planning and clash reviews.
- Work united with the site installation teams to scenario plan during installation phase and help manage change.
- Support site installation teams during build/installation phase.
- Promote the use of BIM and CAD tools where there are opportunities to broaden its use to benefit the company.
- Digitise older facilities and as-built audits, utilising lidar data and CAD software

Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to lead review sessions with broad stakeholder groups.
- Understanding of construction and industrial fit-out works including safe working practices.
- Advanced capability in Navisworks Manage TimeLiner and animation creation.
- Advanced capability in Navisworks Manage Clash Detection.
- Advanced Revit modelling capability.
- Ability to document working practices to support wider team in their use of BIM on the projects.
- Ability to analyse and assess complex issues and provide recommendations.
- Advanced competency of Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
- Self-starter Ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Experience Required:
- Primavera and MS Projects experience.
- Intermediate-Advanced with Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Intermediate-Advanced with Autodesk Inventor and Factory Design Utilities.
- Experience using Autodesk ReCap.
- Experience using Leica Register 360 and CloudWorx.
- Experience Revit modelling of lidar scan data.
- Experience using CDE's during a project lifecycle.
- Understanding of ISO 19650 and its application.
- Experience in training users on working methods and BIM tools.

Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
The role is Coventry based with Hybrid working potential.
