Concept Resources are proud to be working with a well established Mechanical Building Services company, who are looking for a Mechanical Services Project Manager and Estimator in the Coventry area. This role requires a qualified candidate with experience Project Managing in the Commercial/Public sector and is able to forecast and estimate.
The role is ideal for a candidate who is looking for opportunities to progress within a family feel company, as the company continues to exceed customer expectations. The role operates from the office based in Coventry for projects primarily in the West Midlands and Warwickshire regions.
Key Duties:
* Project manage the installation of mechanical service installations on multiple projects with values ranging from £10k - £1M.
* Manage multiple tenders and projects throughout various stages.
* Procurement of materials and labour, obtaining quotations and negotiations.
* Organising and managing direct labour and subcontractors.
* Effective cost management and forecasting
* Identifying, documenting, and costing project variations
* Compiling final accounts and liaising with Quantity Surveyors
* Establishing and maintaining client relations
* Compiling technical submittals
* Undertaking Risk & Method Statements
* Carry out site surveys and prepare reports.
* Diagnose onsite issues and advise on work required
* Attend/Lead Site and Client Meetings as required.
* Ensuring all work meets with expected standards
* Quality control
Person Specification:
* 10+ industry years’ experience in a similar role
* Industry based qualifications ONC/HNC/HND
* Preferred work experience in education, commercial and healthcare
* Efficient and effective time management
* Proactive and responsive
* Team management
* Contract management
* Use of Microsoft office suite
Skill Requirements: (Desirable)
* Estimation capability including use of software [Trimble or similar]
* 2D/ 3D Cad
* Design capability
* SMSTS
* CSCS
* Asbestos awareness
