The Role

The Quality Engineer will cover all aspects of the quality function at Unipart Powertrain to support customers, suppliers, current production, and new project introductions. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining successful customer relationships, development and maintenance of the control plans and supporting any customer or supplier concerns using root cause problem solving tools such as 8D.

The Quality Engineer will support statistical analysis of data, new product introduction activities, management, and communication of quality related updates across the business and training the quality teams to achieve a “stop and fix” culture rooted in achieving customer success while manufacturing in a safe and sustainable way.

The Person

The successful candidate will possess a proven record in manufacturing quality, ideally in the automotive industry. First or second tier supplier experience is essential for the role in addition to being experienced using problem solving tools and statistical analysis. The Quality Engineer will be able to read and interpret technical drawings and possess excellent communication skills both written and spoken.

You will be data savvy and able to analyse and interpret statistical trends in addition to demonstrating a passion and commitment to continuous improvement across your work.
