Are you a skilled Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias looking for your next opportunity to develop and progress within your career? As a CNC Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and servicing of a variety of CNC punch and press machines across the UK. Initially, you will be accompanying another service engineer who will deliver machinery-specific training to ensure that you are comfortable in troubleshooting the machines. Therefore this role could be suitable for an engineer with 1-2 years of electrical experience, up to a time-served engineer.

Suitable locations may include: Leicester, Coventry, Northampton, Birmingham, Hinckley, Kettering, Corby
 
The Role of Field Service Engineer:

Develop & maintain working relationships with current customers, promoting company products and services while on-site
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.  
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues.  
Primary focus on the companies ranges of Sheet Metal Punching and Bending machinery.  
Install, commission, and test new machinery at customer sites.  
Ensure timely and accurate completion of service reports and timesheets.  
Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.  
Stay updated with the latest technical developments and product innovations.  
Travel throughout the UK & occasionally Southern Ireland when required (with notice).
Average of 2 nights away from home per week.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:

HNC-level mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications/certifications
Previous experience servicing, maintaining or repairing CNC controlled machinery 
Strong expertise in reading schematics.  
Knowledge of Sheet Metal machines including Laser Cutting Systems, Punching Machines, Press Brakes and automated systems would be a significant advantage.  
Knowledge of PLC and software troubleshooting.  
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  
Willing to travel and stay away from home  
Ability to work & communicate professionally at customers premises
Full UK driving licence and valid passport

All expenses paid when travelling
Mainly on the road, with occasional online training days from home
