Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company that specializes in producing high performance vehicles is currently looking for a HIL Test Engineer. The successful candidate will play a critical role in validating and verifying the functionality and performance of our advanced automotive systems through rigorous testing methodologies.
The HIL Test Engineer will:
Design, develop, and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and model-in-loop (MIL) test systems for automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and embedded systems.
Identify and troubleshoot issues encountered during testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges promptly.
Execute HIL tests to validate software and hardware functionality, performance, and safety across various operating conditions.
Create physical models, then detailed test cases and procedures based on system requirements and design specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Analyse test results and generate comprehensive reports to document test findings, identify anomalies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
The HIL Test Engineer will have:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in developing and executing HIL & MIL tests for automotive ECUs and embedded systems.
Experience with model-based design and simulation tools (e.g., Simulink, dSPACE ControlDesk).
Strong programming skills in languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink.
Proficiency in HIL testing tools and platforms (e.g., dSPACE, National Instruments, Speedgoat).
Solid understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
