The Role:

To effectively manage all resources, within a safe & healthy environment, to consistently deliver the production plan, on time, to the required product safety & quality criteria, whilst maintaining high standards of housekeeping & hygiene and bettering or meeting budget requirements, full completion of core programs and objectives along with continuous improvement projects for that particular financial year.

What will you be doing?

Daily routine

Complete a shift handover with the oncoming Shift Manager and your Team Leaders covering the following as relates to your completed shift; Health & Safety highlights, product safety or quality issues, performance of your team & line status to plan, details of plan and plan changes, specific instructions from the Senior team, material changes (planned or enforced), trials to be undertaken and your audit results (to prevent repeat failures).

Stringent adherence to all systems & procedures adopted by your team. Early identification of ineffective procedures with proposed solutions. Ensure all relevant documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Complete Shift reports at end of shift.

KPI

Actively driving continuous improvement projects with key focus on reduction in plant waste and downtime. Ensure effective cost control through best use of all resources including raw and packaging materials, labour, minimisation of waste and maximisation of machine efficiency.

People Development

To appraise and develop your team to ensure they have a clear understanding of the expectations of their role on shift. To identify skill gaps in existing staff to ensure training offered leads to optimum flexibility and adequate holiday / absence cover within and across the shift.

Resolve conflict & ensure all people issues are dealt with within the correct procedure and employment legislation, and to have disciplinary authority up to and including dismissal.Discuss updates on any projects allocated to you or your shift & training updates and opportunities to consider or support concerns.

What will you bring to the party?

* HACCP

* Diploma or higher qualification in a Food related discipline would be an added advantage
