Engineer

Main purpose of the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join us in this key role within our West Midlands region, based from our office near Tamworth with agile/hybrid working. This role will be primarily focussed on predevelopment activity.

The successful candidate will control and co-ordinate all technical information to support land bids and to progress to planning applications once a site has been secured, ensuring all approvals are obtained and information issued to allow for a programmed start on site. They will also carry out full assessments of technical designs and strategies and work with the regional commercial team to provide a robust cost delivery plan.

They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, in particular the regional Technical team and external consultants.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

We are looking for an established predevelopment Engineer who embodies our Keepmoat values; passionate about the housebuilding industry, they will work in a straightforward way, possessing strong organisational skills with a good commercial and contractual awareness. They will be creative with a keen eye for detail and ability to process technical information. They will be collaborative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong negotiator with proven experience in gaining consent on complex technical approvals.

The successful candidate will have previous exposure to a similar role within a UK housebuilder and be comfortable using engineering related software.
