Taylor Stevenson are proud to be working with a industry leading client who manufacture quality product for use in human and animal foodstuffs, agriculture, aquaculture, and industrial applications. The company also produces bio-fuels and renewable energy and provides services for farming and the food industry!

Their looking for a skilled HGV Mechanic to service and repair vehicles, trailers, and factory transport to the standard set by the company and external transport legislative bodies whilst ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times. Ensuring that high levels of productivity, attendance and customer satisfaction are maintained at all times.

This roles is paying circa £46,750 per year paid weekly!

If and when you may be required to be on standby, you will be paid an additional £65.84 per week! If called out during standby, they receive a minimum of 5.5 hours at double time!!

This is a full-time permanent position with a 48 hours working week on a rotating weekly shift basis being:

Week 1 - 9AM - 6PM Monday to Friday and 6AM - 2PM Saturday!

Week 2 -6AM - 3PM Monday to Friday!

Week 3 - 9AM - 6PM Monday to Friday!

As a HGV Mechanic your duties and responsibilities will include:

* To inspect, report, repair and service trailers, vehicles, and factory transport.

* To inspect and conduct pre-MOT checks to DVSA/VOSA standards.

* General garage housekeeping.

* To complete paperwork in relation to the above tasks.

* Any other ad hoc duties, as required.

The ideal candidate has:

* Hold an Industry recognised qualification, either City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3.

* Full UK Licence.

* HGV Class C+E Driving Licence

* Previous HGV mechanical experience.

* Excellent mechanical diagnostic skills.

* Good attention to details.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Effectively manage time and meet deadlines
