The company is a renowned, established and a very successful manufacturer of temperature control systems and machinery who are enjoying significant growth, success and investment. They are seeking to recruit a Process Cooling Commissioning Engineer to further strengthen their operations.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the successful design, commissioning and maintenance of process cooling systems. Collaboration with sales and project team, providing support to service engineers and to liaise with suppliers to ensure optimal system performance.
Key responsibilities and duties;
* Collaborate closely with the sales and project teams to help design process cooling systems that meet customer requirements and can be effectively commissioned and maintained
* Develop comprehensive commissioning packs for new projects, providing clear instructions to the service team to ensure successful system commissioning
* Provide hands on support to onsite / over phone service engineers during system commissioning, ensuring completion of paperwork
* Take an active role in commissioning systems and contribute to training and supporting other engineers in commissioning process
* Work closely with suppliers to understand commissioning and maintenance requirements for their equipment, conducting factory visits to obtain necessary documentation for service engineers
* Collaborate with customers and internal teams to provide technical support, answer enquiries and offer guidance
* Conduct system performance evaluations, measurements and analysis to optimise cooling efficiency
* Maintain accurate records of all service and commissioning activities, including repairs
* Train and mentor other technicians, ensuring quality standards are adhered to
As a Commissioning Engineer you will need to hold the following skills and experience.
* Proven experience with a minimum of 10 years as a Process Cooling Service Engineer, specialising in breakdowns, fault finding, repair and commissioning
* Proficient in performing on site breakdowns, commissioning and maintenance of process cooling systems
* Strong knowledge of process control systems, including refrigeration principles, electrical and mechanical components and control systems
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Deep understanding of mechanics behind cooling systems, including knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer principles
* Capable of assisting in the designing and optimising cooling systems for various applications
* Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with cooling systems, such as leaks, pump failures, pressure irregularities or insufficient heat transfer
* Strong problem solving and decision making abilities, with a focus on timely and effective solutions
* Able to work on own and to be able to travel throughout the UK and overseas
* Hold a current driving license
* F Gas qualified
Salary - up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours of work - Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm / Friday 8am to 3pm
The role is field based and hours worked are classed as "door to door". Overtime is paid at premium rates. Company vehicle, fuel card, phone, laptop, i-pad.
The company is based in Tamworth so is easily commutable from Birmingham, Nuneaton, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coalville, Hinckley, Lichfield, Cannock, Burton on Trent, Coventry, Leicester
