The Role:
Assist the Business Senior Leadership Team (specifically SMF 3, 18 & 24) to assess and manage its operational risk in accordance with Group's model for the management of operational risk and with the support of the Operational Risk Control Department
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Senior OPC Manager in the development of the Risk Framework across the 1st Line of defence teams.
Represent the Governance teams at relevant Business & Operations Forums.
Complete Risk Mapping tasks - Identify & assess risks of which the generic risk provided to BNP Paribas Personal Finance Central Function.
Control procedures - Adapt the generic procedures and define and formalise the local procedures.
Support with Incident Management - Identify & quantify incidents including Fraud & report incidents to the ORM team.
Contribute to the analysis of the incident - root causes & effects on both the business and its customers.
On a case-by-case basis support with the Control of essential services providers and assist in the identification of operational risk associated with new products / service providers.
Act as the 1st Level of control - adapt the generic controls & design specific controls then perform the controls, and report attention points to the Senior Leadership and ORM teams.
Skills & Attributes:
Well Spoken, articulate & Punctual.
Experience in an Operational Risk Control role or Similar Analytical roles (Must)
Understanding of the department operating model.
Understanding of Operational Risk.
Strong analytical and presentation skills.
Basic understanding of the FCA's role and of the TCF, Conduct Risk and Data Protection Principles (Desirable)
Ability to analyse and to write clear summary reports (Desirable).
Ability to make informed decisions based on the information available.
Diligent & Accurate
Strong communication skills.
Highly analytical & experience to working towards tight deadlines.
A self - motivated individual who can apply their own initiative to the role.
