Our client is an award winning remediation contractor who offers practical solutions for brownfield regeneration and contaminated land problems. To date, our client has successfully completed technical projects throughout the South of England for local authorities, residential and commercial developers, main contractors and consultants either in the role of principal contractor or subcontractor which range from small spills through to large multi-technology soil and groundwater remediation / development platform preparation on brownfield sites.

Our client is in a steady growth period, having expanded their operations in the South East and South West, recently into the Midlands and North West of England. Current turnover stands at £14M, and this contractor is dedicated to measuring and reducing their carbon footprint, which includes selecting the most sustainable remediation options on projects as well as company -wide initiatives such a recycling.

About the opportunity:

Due to continued expansion and confirmed workload, my client is recruiting permanently for a Remediation Project Manager. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations team, you will be responsible for managing the profitable delivery of remediation projects throughout The Midlands and the North of England. The opportunity will incorporate a mix of office based working (although some flexibility to work from home is available) as well as being based on sites.

As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the operations team to ensure objectives and scope are delivered including writing programmes and updating against progress; managing the technical and commercial aspects of the project; managing contract variations and communicating changes to the project team; supervising technical staff; liaising with the client; ensuring legislative compliance on projects and carrying out report writing to name just a few duties.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you should hold a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in contaminated land remediation, including experience in a contracting role and project management. Experience in earthworks and geotechnical engineering will also be considered.

Working knowledge of earthworks practices and soil and groundwater remedial approaches is desirable, although further training will be provided as required

Due to project locations, you must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel / work away from home when required (subsistence will be covered).

About the benefits and rewards:

For this opportunity, my client is targeting professionals who are looking to earn anywhere between £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.
