They are on the search for a motivated and skillful Procurement or Project Specialist to join their team as a Supply Chain Lead. As a Supply Chain Lead, you will play a vital position in acknowledging and developing a new subcontract supply chain for a well established engineering project.

The Supply Chain Lead will be responsible for assessing engineering requirements, identifying, and developing supplier capabilities, and managing the chosen solution through to the completion of prototypes, ensuring seamless integration into our supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities:

* Take lead of end-to-end management of subcontract manufacturing, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align project objectives.

* Ability to obtain a strong understanding of the technical details of the product and the manufacturing process.

* Relationship building with subcontractors, ensuring clear expectations, open communication, and adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

* Problem solving.

* Lead contract negotiations, ensuring supplier capabilities and financial stability.

* Adhere to compliance standards through documentation checks. Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain cost effectiveness.

* Retain Gantt/Production tracking tools.

* Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities and economic factors.

* Regular travel to supplier sites (driving license required)

Essential:

* Degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent.

* Procurement/Project Management/Supplier Relationship experience within a technically demanding environment.

* Confident negotiating with suppliers.

* Leadership.

* Experience working withing a team-based environment.

* Defence/Aerospace industry experience/knowledge.

* Use of PM tools, and MS Office.

* Use of ERP systems.

* Willingness to travel
