JE112: HGV Class 1 Driver (Days)
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per annum
Shifts - 4 ON 4 OFF
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver (Days) on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivery of milk to Dairies in the UK within 24 hours of collection
Adhering to all Tachograph and WTD regulations
Daily Vehicle Walkaround Checks
Keeping company vehicle clean and tidy
Completing paperwork accurately and submitting in good time after each delivery
Skills and Qualifications:
Full UK driving licence
HGV Class 1 driver (Class 2 would be considered)
12+ months HGV driving experience
A current CPC and digital tacho
Flexible, hardworking and self-motivated
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Completion of Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
Keeping company vehicle clean and tidy on a daily basis
Strict adherence to drivers hours and WTD
Good communication skills as will deal directly with farmers, managers and on occasion customers
Attention to detail is essential
Numerical literacy is important
Previous experience in liquid loads is desirable but not essential
