Manufacturing Operative - Forging
Willenhall, West Midlands
£12 per hour
Our Client is a long-established and very successful metal forming company based in Willenhall in the West Midlands. Recent refurbishment has made this the most modern facility in the UK, offering extensive in-house services to their clients. They are now seeking a Manufacturing Operative - Forging to join their busy workforce.
What’s on offer?
* Working hours Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm; Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm.
* Half hour unpaid lunch.
* 33 days per year holiday inclusive of bank holidays to be taken during factory shutdown periods.
* £12 per hour, paid weekly.
* Overtime rate - weekday after 39 hours worked + 1/3; weekends + 1/2.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting and being trained in all areas of the forging operations, including despatch.
* Working in various departments to meet production demands, typically finishing, grinding and forging, but not exclusively.
* Monitoring of raw material condition during production.
* Assist with the forging of materials into various complex shapes and finishes.
* Finishing products ready for despatch to customers.
* Cleaning, general maintenance and preparation of plant and machinery.
To be successful in the role of a Manufacturing Operative - Forging, you will need the following skills and experience:
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience of using heavy industrial equipment.
* Be physically strong and fit.
* Be well organised and punctual.
* Have good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
* Be interested in learning all aspects of the role.
The position of Manufacturing Operative - Forging is based in Willenhall and is easily commutable from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Bilston, Wednesbury and West Bromwich.
