The primary purpose of the Asset Product Analyst is to understand and improve the End-to-End output of our asset returns process. We investigate and deliver solutions and processes to remediate and improving the operating meter performance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a logical, solution-focussed Analyst to join our Asset Management team within our Smart Asset and Logistics (A&L) team.
You will look to improve the performance of E.ON’s smart metering assets through taking ownership for improvements on asset based processes and systems - including acting as the interface for system improvements for A&L, improving field returns, optimising our Triage teams processes and end of life activities. Ultimately reducing asset returns and maximising asset investment.
You will provide value via the insight and analysis of asset performance so the wider team understands where and why assets might not be operating as expected.
You will play a key role in supporting the improvement of the outcome of assets that come back from the field technicians, optimising their return to good / refurbished stock. Where this cannot be done you will look into the issues and find a solution for how this could be done.

Report to the Asset Management and Policy Manager

Provide smart asset related data and analytical insight to drive operational actions/
*
Write basic SQL queries, or run complex queries to extract data, using excel and other means to visualise the results.
*
Create, maintain, and contribute to continuously improving processes and associated documents by understanding and interpreting operational challenges.
*
Complete and monitor daily analytical routines and outputs.
*
Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to achieve a goal by interpreting stakeholder requirements and providing updates on progress.

Be a self-starter, maintain own actions and agree priorities within your reporting structure.
What we need from you
*
Ability to demonstrate technical competency, knowledge and understanding of Assets and Field processes.
*
Experience in developing and evaluating different options and scenarios.
*
Experience of processing large, complex data sets and be able to manipulate the data to use and communicate concepts and ideas in a variety of meetings for multi-level stakeholders to provide updates recommendations and trends.

Experience using enterprise systems and software packages and management of data quality based on these.
*
Ability to use knowledge and expertise to identify and understand complex problems and to recommend and drive solutions.
*
Experience in managing projects, project tasks and owning delivery of change.
*
Ability to establish, develop and maintain effective relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders up to middle management level.

Experience of working in a business analysis position

Full driving licence.
