Think Recruitment are working with a specialist building and maintenance contractor who require an additional Assistant Quantity Surveyor for their Maintenance division.

You will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of maintenance projects by attending client sites throughout Central England and costing the minor improvement project. This role entails close collaboration with project teams, and clients to ensure excellent client satisfaction.

Duties

Develop accurate cost estimates and budgets for maintenance projects.
Monitor project finances throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
Prepare and submit valuations and payment applications.
Manage variations and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
Deliver timely financial reports to project stakeholders.
Resolve commercial issues and disputes in collaboration with project teams.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Contribute to process and procedure enhancements.

Requirements

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on maintenance projects.
Understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Project, and CostX.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
