Are you an English graduate looking to gain experience of supporting students to aid in your application for a future teaching training programme?

***1-2-1 and small group support for GCSE English students as they approach their exams.
 
The Graduate:
To be the successful candidate for this English Academic Coach position, you will have at least a bachelor’s degree in English Language, Literature, or a related field. You will also have completed- or be completing- a PGCSE qualification with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). It is essential that you will be a warm, personable character who has the natural ability to build strong bonds with students aged 11-16. Previous experience of working alongside children, or in a school setting, is beneficial but not mandatory.
 
The Role

Supporting under-achieving KS3 and KS4 students in a 1:1 and small group basis.
Providing guidance through the English GCSE curriculum.
Offering in-depth, constructive feedback to address any weak areas in students’ classwork.
Building good relationships with both students and teaching staff to create a productive learning environment.
Monitoring student progress and accommodating any additional needs.
