PLATING LINE OPERATORS -
** IMMEDIATE PERMANENT POSITIONS **
Salary up to £37,044 for nights / Night OR Day Shifts available / Working Monday to Friday only NO WEEKEND WORK
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
You will be working in a department to service the plating of high spec brass components. Working on Brass, Chrome and Nickel to a higher than industry standard in quality.
What you will be responsible for
* Responsible for running a chrome or nickel line
* Assist with jigging and un-jigging along with loading and unloading plant as required.
* Operate plating or coating machines to coat metal products - 4 plating lines that offer 8 different surface finishes
* Organise product for processing to ensure timely processing of trays and effective utilisation of plant.
* Recognise and report variations on process parameters.
* Make process additions and carry out process maintenance as required.
* Undertake all work in accordance with work instruction sheets and standard process procedures and operations.
* Complete production and technical records as required.
* Conduct regular plant process and procedure audits / inspections.
* Recognise, rectify, or report any trends in rejects and other quality issues.
* Carry out the planned maintenance as and when required.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement.
* Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards.
What you will already have
* Experience of working in a fast-paced plating department, ideally working with Chrome and Nickel surface finishes. Other finishes will be considered if no experience of these.
* Electroplating / Metal plating experience
* Experience of powder coating copper would be considered
* Knowledge of plating plant maintenance.

If you are applying for the night shift, you will be required to work days / afternoons for the first few weeks to learn the processes before transferring onto the night shift
