Salary: £84 - £95 per day
GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a school in Beverley. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable learners.
Job Summary:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals.
Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist students with personal care, mobility, and social interaction as required, always ensuring their safety and well-being.
Monitor and record student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and SENCO to inform future planning and support strategies.
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a collaborative approach to SEN provision.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience working with individuals with SEN is advantageous.
Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting SEN students.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
