We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Manager to our clients team, running an EBD Children’s Home in St Helens for an established provider who operate homes across the North West. This is a fantastic chance to join a the re-opening of a home and make your mark.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a managerial role within an Ofsted registered home, which focuses on EBD although my client is open to experienced deputies with the right attitude and shared ethos. An NVQ Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children’s and Young Peoples Services (or the equivalent) is essential. They will need to be an excellent communicator, the ability to develop good working relationships with their staff team as well as the professionals’ teams around the children.
 
Benefits:
Basic Salary up to £50,000 per annum
There is also up to an additional £2.5-5k bonus based on occupancy, Ofsted reports, finances and overall environment of the home.
Hours: 37 hours per week plus night time support (£50.00) where required.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
 
· To manage the home in regulatory compliance with OFSTED regulations, legislation, and the ethos and policies of the company.
· To protect the children from harm in and outside the home.
· To ensure that the children’s needs are recognised and met. This includes ensuring that they are free from discrimination within the home and to challenge discrimination from outside the home, acting as an advocate and ensuring that they are getting to support they need to optimise their potential.
· To act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Home and ensure that any safeguarding concerns are raised in the appropriate manner, and in a timely fashion.
· To deliver highly motivated leadership and development to the team for which you are responsible.
· To ensure that all rotas, training, mentoring and supervisions of staff are kept up to date.
· To develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, social workers, schools, and other professionals concerned with the welfare of the children.
· Ensuring that the home and staff all adhere to:
· The Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015
· Children Act 2004, Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation
· Working Together to Safeguard Children
· The Homes Statement of Purpose
· The Code of Conduct and Behaviour and relevant policies
· Social Care Common Inspection Framework (2019)
· To engage with Ofsted and the Reg 44 Independent Visitor process
· To ensure that all paperwork relating to the children, home and staff is completed.
· Providing on call on a rota basis with other members of the management team.
