Director of External Funding, Projects & Insight – Barnsley College - Permanent - £65,922 per annum

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior manager to fill the role of Director of External Funding, Projects & Insight. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our efforts to secure external funding, manage funded projects and drive the use of data insights to support strategic decision-making.

Permanent vacancy – 37 hours per week
£65,922 per annum

Our new Director of External Funding, Projects & Insight will play a pivotal role in the leadership of the college. This post requires someone with significant experience of securing external funding, overseeing collaborative or multi-partner projects, strong stakeholder management skills, and the strategic ability to drive development of all aspects of an outstanding educational environment.

Role overview

* Identifying and pursuing opportunities for external funding through grants, contracts, and partnerships

* Developing proposals and applications to secure funding

* Building relationships with funding agencies, government and academic bodies and industry partners to support College goals

* Overseeing the implementation of funded projects, ensuring they align with the College's strategic objectives and meet funding requirements

* Developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities of the organisation

* Use data-driven approaches to inform decision-making and optimise resource allocation

* Support and provide effective management to the LSIF project team

* Identifying emerging trends and opportunities in further education, and recommending strategies to capitalise on them

* Provide appropriate management information to the Executive team and the Governing Body in the form of reports and statistics relating to financial and operational performance
