Commercial Account Handler

Location: Stocksbridge, Sheffield

Salary: £25,000 to £45,000 per year depending on level of experience

Working pattern: Office Based, Full time 9am to 5pm, Mon-Fri

Our client is an independent insurance broker, with a fresh outlook on insurance who are growing year upon year. Building relationships is what we do best and our clients love our no-nonsense approach to insurance and risk management.

As a member of their team your day will be varied: from dealing with existing clients and their daily needs to supporting the Directors with renewals and new business quotations, it’s fair to say no two days are the same! Your attention to detail and organisational skills will be first rate as will excellent communication skills and a proven record of providing exceptional customer service.

The daily routine

* Assisting the Directors in managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients across all industries.

* Processing insurance policies, endorsements and renewals efficiently and in a timely manner.

* Working with clients to ensure they have the right level of cover and promptly addressing any day-to-day issues that may arise.

* Negotiating with underwriters to secure the best terms and preparing reports to ensure they have the best understanding of the business.

* Support claims management both as an in-house claims handler and liaising with our external claims management team.

* Producing high-level accurate documentation and maintaining records to regulatory standards.

Who we’re looking for

* Solid understanding of commercial insurance products and terminology.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

* Proficiency in Acturis is ideal, but not essential.

* Knowledge of the compliance and regulatory standards in insurance.
