Working for an ambitious law firm dedicated to delivering a range of commercial services to clients from the individual entrepreneur and small family business to some of the UK's most successful companies and well-known brands.

We are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy residential department based in Bradford city centre, providing administrative and paralegal support. Working alongside a Conveyancer, the successful candidate will ideally possess 3+ years’ recent experience of dealing with the end-to-end conveyancing process.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the advice and guidance of your supervisor:

1.

Manage all client work allocated by Supervisor or Department Head in accordance with department procedures.

2.

Draft correspondence and appropriate legal documents, ensuring accuracy at all times. Issue sales contracts.

3.

Receive incoming telephone calls, dealing with enquiries or taking messages as appropriate.

4.

Provide advice and guidance to clients ensuring that the client is regularly kept informed of progress and costs.

5.

Liaise with estate agents, solicitors and others as required.

6.

Deal appropriately with financial transactions on clients’ matters.

7.

Prepare bills for clients.

8.

Undertake opening and closing of files.

9.

Undertake and issue searches on purchase matters.

10.

Deal with pre-exchange searches and post completion registrations

11.

Maintain an accurate and up to date filing system.

12.

Participate in the Firm’s appraisal process and ensure personal objectives are met.

1.

Develop a good relationship with existing and potential clients ensuring that a high standard of client care is exercised at all times.

2.

Undertake relevant training subject to the approval of your Department Head, to ensure you are kept up to date with relevant legislation and practice.

3.

Ensure all work is carried out is in accordance with our professional regulations.

4.

Be aware of your responsibilities under health and safety legislation.

5.

Carry out duties and responsibilities with due regard to our Equality & Diversity Policy.

6.

Any other duties as reasonably requested to support the department
