Role – Site Health and Safety Advisor

Location – South Yorkshire based

Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 + Annual bonus

Hours - Monday to Friday Days

Heavy Engineering / Installation / Health and Safety

Our client:

I am working with a key client who are a process heavy engineering and installation company, based out of South Yorkshire. They design, manufacture, and install specialist materials in various sectors within heavy engineering, This role will require site visits to oversee site installations for multiple projects at a time. We are recruiting for a permanent Health and Safety Advisor to work on several of their key customer sites nationwide.

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have the following duties & responsibilities:

Provide guidance and expertise to the business and site managers, including the teams and department heads on Health and Safety issues
Plan, execute, and report on internal Health and Safety audits for both office facilities and projects
Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation
Visit sites and engage with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical Health and Safety related enquires
Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance
Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact
Offer guidance and expertise to the business standards.
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have the following attributes:

Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
Experience/background in heavy process engineering / capital equipment industry is highly desirable
Experience in a similar role ideally within heavy engineering, specifically high rise projects.
Hold or working towards NEBOSH Diploma
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
