Nicholas Associates are working with vibrant alternative green energy technology company based in Doncaster who are looking to bring on board an experienced Production Team Leader

Responsibilities include:

Lead and manage a team of production workers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Plan and organise production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines, optimising resources and minimising waste.
Monitor production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all company policies and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to coordinate production activities and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Train new employees on production procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, recognising achievements and addressing areas for development.
Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, such as implementing lean manufacturing principles, streamlining processes, and introducing new technologies or methodologies.
Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to production management, incorporating relevant advancements into our operations.Key skills and experience required:

Degree in engineering, related field (not essential).
Proven experience in a production leadership role, preferably in a startup environment or fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of production and assembly processes (specifically in piping), quality control principles, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
Solid organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic startup environment.

Desirable skills:

Process/chemical or mechanical engineering background preferred,
Electrical knowledge is beneficial.
