Mechanical Technician/Fitter
North Shields - Newcastle (£30,000 - £40,000)
Days Monday - Friday / Early finish on a friday
We are looking for a motivated mechanically bias Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. Reporting directly to the Engineering Team Leader, you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
Role Description
Disassembly of packaging machinery in preparation for re-manufacture
Assessing mechanical components and sub-assemblies and repair to as new
Modifications in preparation for new high-technology internals
Experience with flow wrapper Machinery Desirable:
electrical panel assembly and machine wiring
Assembly of new internally designed bespoke machinery.
Basic machine shop practices and experience (eg: lathe and mills)Occasional on-site installation and service - basic CAD and drawing office functions (training provided)
Skills and Qualifications
