A well-established leading manufacturing company based in the Wetherby area are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong Mechanical background. This role is working on a 6am/2pm - 2pm/10pm shift pattern.
This location is commutable by car from Leeds, York, Harrogate, Wetherby, Knaresborough and Selby.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
Requirements of the role:
NVQ Level 3 a relevant Mechanical Qualification
Sound working knowledge of all mechanical components (pumps, gearboxes, motors, belts, conveyors etc)
Min. 2 years working in a Maintenance role within a Manufacturing environment.
Fault Finding and diagnosing across Mechanical & Electrical systems
To have a good background of Welding, Fabrication and Mechanical Fitting.The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:
Working across the factory attending machinery breakdowns and diagnosing faults/route cause analysis, as well as ensuring all planned and routine maintenance activities are carried out and documented on the CMMS.
Working with production responding to machinery breakdowns ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.
Building strong working relationships with other departments to achieve one common goal.
You will be responsible for working through the planned maintenance schedule and carrying out any machinery upgrades.
You will also be responsible for machinery installations/ moves and modifications of new and older machinery.
Thinking outside of the box and being a really strong team player who can use own initiative and demonstrating good ethics and integrity.In return, the successful Maintenance Engineer will be part of a business that recognises talent and skill and will always promote from within where possible.
