I have been tasked with identifying an experienced and highly skilled Construction Pre-Construction Manager to join this well respected regional contractor. As a vital member of the construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all pre-construction activities, including assisting with tenders, initial design management, scheduling, and procurement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the construction industry, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Construction Planning: Lead the pre-construction phase by developing project scope, objectives, and strategies in coordination with stakeholders.
Ensuring relevant design details are identified prior to tender submission
Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project schedules, ensuring that all activities are sequenced logically and completed within specified timeframes.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed of project progress, address any concerns or issues, and ensure that their expectations are met or exceeded.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the pre-construction team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Requirements:

HNC / Bachelor's degree in Construction or equivolent
Proven experience in construction pre-construction management, with a minimum of [X] years in a similar role.
IT Literate – ability to utilise programming software and MS Suite of programs
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
