White Label is working with an engineering and manufacturing company in Huddersfield that requires a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
They want a person who likes to get stuck in and wants to develop with the company. It’s a medium-sized business so there is a chance to make a real impact and grow with the business.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer
* Issue general arrangement drawings for the client’s approval
* Designing and developing product assemblies ready for manufacture
* Create drawing/manufacturing packs and issue them to the factory
* Re-engineering existing products
* Overseeing the entire manufacturing process of each job to ensure project timescales are met
* Communicate with clients and provide updates as required
* Work as part of a team to produce the best cost-effective design solutions and help automate standard designs
Experience required of the Mechanical Design Engineer
* Experience in using design software such as Solidworks or Inventor
* 3 years or more experience in industry
* Experience with sheet metal/moving equipment would be an advantage but can consider any mechanical engineering discipline.
Package & Salary
* £30,000 - £35,000 depending on the experience
* 24 days holiday + bank holidays
* Company pension
* 39/week Monday – Thursday 8 am-5 pm and Friday 8 am – 1:30 pm or Monday – Thursday 8:30 am – 5 pm and Friday 8:30 am – 4 pm
