Interim Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant available at short notice to support the Finance Director and help lead a finance team during a transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Ensure accurate and timely completion of all monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Foreign Currency Management: Manage foreign currency transactions and mitigate currency risk.
* Overseas Supplier Payments: Oversee and execute payments to overseas suppliers, ensuring compliance with international regulations.
* Invoice Discounting Submissions: Prepare and submit invoice discounting reports.
* Rebates: Calculate and process rebates accurately.
* Stock Reconciliations: Conduct regular stock reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
* VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
* Management Accounts Preparation: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
* Supervision: Manage and support the Assistant Accountant, ensuring development and performance management.
* Invoice Processing: Assist in processing invoices as needed, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
* Provide cover for Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger roles when required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
* Understanding of foreign currency management and international transactions.
* Excellent skills in balance sheet reconciliations and stock reconciliations.
* Proficient in preparing VAT returns and management accounts.
* Experience in managing and developing junior team members.
* Flexibility to assist with various accounting tasks as needed.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
