Legacy Strategies are hiring on behalf of our client for the role of Geotechnical Design Engineer. You will apply your advanced skills in structural and geotechnical engineering to a diverse array of projects. You will help to lead a team of talented professionals, your creativity and technical abilities will shape our engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of engineers and technicians, nurturing their professional growth and development.
* Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of design projects.
* Utilise creative thinking and innovation in the design of structures, adhering to standard codes of practice.
* Apply principles of temporary and permanent works design in alignment with relevant standards.
* Collaborate effectively with external consultants and third-party checkers.
* Engage with clients and construction teams to comprehend requirements and deliver tailored design solutions.
* Prepare comprehensive reports for clients, including submissions for statutory authorities' design approvals.
* Contribute actively to business development initiatives and provide support for tender bids when necessary.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Essential:
* Demonstrated proficiency in team leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
* Advanced technical skills in structural design and a strong foundation in geotechnical engineering.
* Experience working in a design consultancy environment.
* Chartered status or actively working towards one.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
