Senior Cost Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor – Leeds

Growing Real-Estate Consulting Firm

Pillar are exclusively representing a growing consultancy in their search for two key hires in Leeds (these roles are only available through Pillar!).

Our client is a real estate consulting practice, setup 15 years ago by the management team from a leading international consultancy. To supplement their existing well-established 30-employee business, their cost management division was setup as a separate service offering three years ago and now boasts 11 heads across the UK. Currently working towards an ambitious five-year growth plan, this business is currently providing pre and post-contract services to a genuinely impressive list of clients including well-reputed private developers, financial institutions, glitzy hotel chains and high net-worth individuals.

As a result of this growth, we’re currently searching for a Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to be based in their Leeds office (two days wfh) and initially deliver a major scheme for one of their largest clients. Good client-facing and stakeholder management skills are a must, as is an ambitious mind-set and positive “can do” attitude.

The future for this role is positive; a genuine route (and explanation of how to get there) to Director is available for this person as our client looks to establish a Senior leadership team to stand throughout this service offering. You’ll also be expected to help take the lead with mentoring and leading more junior members of the team and can expect direct-hires as you grow through the business.

In terms of package, depending on your level of experience, our client is expecting to offer a basic salary of up to c£60-70,000 per annum plus flexi benefits, an above-average bonus for the industry, work from home days, etc (but open to discussion).

Ideally, we’re seeking the following experience:

* Significant cost-management experience, ideally MRICS Chartered (although the latter is not the “be all and end all”)

* Experience of both pre and post contract duties, within a UK consulting environment.

* Good client-facing skills and comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.

* Eligible to work in the UK.

This role is only available through Pillar – if you’re remotely interested in hearing more about this role (or similar), please submit a CV or contact Richard in the London office for more information.

Services advertised by Pillar are those of an employment business and/or agency
