My client are a Leeds based Civil and Transportation Planning Consultancy who operate across the UK delivering specialised consulting services to the development industry. They advise clients in connection with traffic and highway related matters raised by development proposals and have a broad client base ranging from individuals, regional based development companies to multi-nationals who are leaders in the fields of housing, retail, industrial, education and leisure developments.
Due to another increase in workload they are looking to add a Highways Infrastructure Design Engineer (Section 278/Section 38/Section 104) to join their busy Design Team.
Experience of designing Section 278 Highway Infrastructure improvements in a Consultancy environment would be ideal. We aren't talking major highways here and it's possible that someone who has Section 38/Section 104 experience could fit the bill, provided they had the versatility to turn their hand to Section 278 work.
Your role will include working closely with other team members and key clients to ensure the appropriate designs are prepared and approved by the overseeing authorities to progress the associated legal agreements which will secure the future adoption of the new highway and drainage infrastructure.
The successful candidate should have a sound knowledge of highway and drainage designs and preferably have experience using AutoCAD, PDS and MicroDrainage and have a strong desire to learn and be able to work in a team but with the ability to work independently, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to a high standard, to ensure deadlines are met.
