Based in North Leeds, this company is looking for a Warehouse & Transport Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to make a tangible impact.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Warehouse & Transport Administrator to support our logistics operations. This role is pivotal in facilitating the effective flow of information and resources between our warehouse, transportation teams, and customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a customer-oriented approach, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
* Operational Support: Assist in the daily operations of our warehouse and transportation departments, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
* Data Entry and Management: Accurately input, manage, and analyse data in our logistics software systems related to inventory, shipments, and transport schedules.
* Customer Service: Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns, providing timely and accurate information regarding order status, delivery schedules, and inventory levels.
* Documentation: Prepare and maintain essential documents such as shipping labels, delivery notes, and transport logs.
* Coordination: Liaise between warehouse staff, drivers, and customers to ensure efficient dispatch, delivery, and return of goods.
* Inventory Control: Assist in inventory audits, stock management, and ensuring the accuracy of goods received and dispatched.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, as well as legal and corporate guidelines.
The Candidate:
* Proven experience in a logistics, warehousing, transport, or operations related administrative role.
* Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite along with WMS & TMS systems.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control is advantageous.
