Teaching Personnel are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed English Teacher (or English Newly Qualified Teacher, English NQT) to join a successful English department from April 2020. Teaching Personnel is supporting our partner school in Scarborough with their recruitment this academic year. If you are an English Teacher we would like to hear from you!
This position is full-time, however the school is willing to consider part-time applicants. You can expect a pay in line with your experience.
The school is located within an easy commutable distance from Bridlington, Hull, and York. The school is ideally looking to appoint an English Teacher with responsibilities as a Second in English, but this is not essential.
The person appointed will:
demonstrate high standards of teaching and learning
teach English to KS3
teach English to GCSE
support the Head of Department to lead teaching and learning within the English Department
co-ordinate and develop strategies within English to raise the attainment and ensure students achieve 3 and 4 levels progress targets
be a form tutor and support the academic and pastoral development of your tutor group.
