Unite People are working with a tier one construction contractor, to hire a full-time Site Engineer working on multi-million pound, new build construction projects in the South Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, setting out, Quality Assurance, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Site Engineer will work closely with project managers, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate and execute construction plans effectively.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of working on piling, reinforced concrete, steel erection and new build construction projects.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day construction activities on-site.
Setting out of all construction activity including associated foundations, all build elements, internals and patricians.
Monitor progress and quality of work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
Interpret drawings, and other technical documents.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily reports and progress photos.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to resolve technical challengesRequirements:

Civil Engineering degree, HNC, HND or related field.
Proven experience as a site engineer or Trainee role within construction or civil engineering.
knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience of effectively using Auto CAD and reviewing drawings
Previous experience of new build projects
Excellent IT skills
