Elevation Recruitment Group’s skilled shop floor division are currently recruiting the role of a Deep Hole Borer to work for a leading steel forging business in Sheffield.
Hourly rate:
£19.07ph
Working hours:
The role is based on a 3 shift pattern, 37.5h per week:
Mornings 6am – 1pm
Afternoons 1pm – 8pm
Nights 8pm – 6am
Duties of a Deep Hole Borer will include:
Deep hole boring of various size components to customer requirements.
General machining (Milling, Turning & Boring).
Completing quality documentation to a high standard.
Slinging and the manoeuvring of large components to facilitate machining operations.
Working to 6S principles to keep productivity high.
I am keen to speak with people that have the following skills and experience:
Apprenticeship trained or equivalent relevant experience.
Experienced in large scale deep hole boring and either turning or milling.
Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings.
Crane driving and slinging.
Full understanding of Health & Safety and the ability to work safely in a heavy engineering environment.
Ability to understand and follow CNC programs.
