Questech Recruitment are recruiting for our client in Wakefield for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
This role will be within the food manufacturing industry where you would be joining a dynamic team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of their production lines.
Role:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep of machinery, contributing to the high-quality standards of food production. Your expertise will be pivotal in minimising downtime through proactive maintenance and swift, effective response to any mechanical issues.
Skills & Experience:
* A minimum of an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Proven experience in a maintenance role within a food production or FMCG environment
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
* Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams and schematics
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Proficient in the use of maintenance management systems
* A proactive approach to maintenance with the ability to work independently
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of machinery and equipment
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to prevent disruptions in production
* Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance machinery efficiency
* Collaborate with the production team to ensure machinery operates at optimal levels
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and food safety standards
* Provide technical support and training to other team members when required

This role is working a Continental Shift pattern - 12 hour Days & Nights
The salary will be £48,000 - £50.000pa.
