FLT Operator

Rate: £12.63 per hour

Proman Recruitment is currently looking for FLT Operators on behalf of our Client who is one of the largest food co-packers. You would need to able to work on a 2 shift rota (weekly shift changes).

The Role

As a forklift truck operator, your main duties would include:

loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as lorries or vans
moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following stock control instructions
checking loads are secure
stacking empty pallets
performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery (if the truck is electric)
The Candidate

To be successful, you need to:

have previous experience in operating FLT trucks, such as Counterbalance, Reach, VNA and PPT.
be punctual and reliable
be able to organise and prioritise workload
have good numeracy and literacy skills

You will be working on full time basis, Monday until Friday over 2 shifts which will be rotating weekly. The shifts are  6am-2pm and 2pm - 10pm , so you will have to be able to alternate between them on a week to week basis.

Successful candidates will be invited to a 60 minute assessment  where they will be asked to present a valid FLT certificate/license (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent)
