About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Specialist to join our team at the Wakefield Bakery Manufacturing Site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing production schedules, ensuring efficient resource utilization, and maintaining inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain production schedules to meet demand forecasts and customer orders.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely execution of schedules and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
Analyse production data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stock outs.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Implement and maintain planning tools and systems to support efficient operations.
Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is desirable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.In return for your hard work we will offer you:
