NXTGEN are supporting an outstanding Peterborough based employer in their search for a new Employee Relations Advisor following a recent internal promotion. Working within a high performing central HR function you will play an integral part on the continued development of the people team, supporting a range of hiring managers with ER related cases, providing coaching as and when required. This is a broad and all encompassing Employee Relations Advisor role that could see the successful candidate support on a range of cases from restructures and settlements to flexible working requests, working within a business who truly values it's people. You will ensure that all ER policies remain up to date with changes in legislation whilst championing best practice. This Employee Relations Advisor role will focus almost exclusively on the operational and manufacturing side of the business so the successful candidate can expect to work within a multi-site business operation. As a result, you may be required to travel to different sites across the UK on an ad hoc basis.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

Manage end to end employee relation cases including disciplinary, grievance, TUPE, absence management for example
Manage and update policies and procedures in accordance with legislation across various locations, ensuring compliance with employment law
Support and provide coaching to line managers on Employee relation related issues when required
Advise on European based ER issues as and when required
Ensure GDPR compliance on all ER and HR related issues, effectively tracking within all HR systemsThe successful candidate will ideally have prior experience in a similar Employee Relations role or will be in an HR generalist position with significant exposure to ER issues. You will also ideally bring experience working on ER cases within a manufacturing or operationally focused environment. An excellent understanding of GDPR legislation is key as well as the need for sensitivity with some tasks. Any prior experience with ER related issues across Europe would be significantly advantageous but not essential. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work closely with a range of operational stakeholders, providing clear guidance and advise on ER related queries.
