Job Description
Coffman Engineers is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with two to five years of working experience, who wants to be a part of our office growth and culture. The successful candidate will have a desire to work, grow, and have fun with a multi-discipline engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a fire protection engineering degree, however, an engineering degree in other fields (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) with working experience in fire protection or a desire/willingness to learn will also be considered.
This position will support the team in providing our clients with fire and life safety code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant rated construction analysis; automatic suppression system design and analysis; fire detection, alarm and communication system design and analysis; smoke control system design; site inspections and witness of life safety system testing; fire hazard analysis; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts.
The Anchorage Fire Protection Engineering department collectively has 60+ years of experience in Fire Protection Engineering across our department of four, all of whom will provide the successful candidate with training, mentorship, and support to help grow your career.
